Free Fishing Fridays for Service Members & Veterans!

We’re proud to launch Free Fishing Fridays as a way to say thank you for your service! On the first Friday of every month, active-duty service members and veterans can enjoy FREE pier fishing at all three City lakes - Brandt, Higgins, and Townsend.

Check in at the lake office.
Bring your military/veteran ID or driver’s license with veteran designation.

Please note: A valid NC Fishing License is still required and can be purchased at lake offices. Annual Pier Fishing Passes will also remain available at a discounted rate.
